We only see patients till noon so we can focus on our surgeries in the afternoon
Walking in Faith With Half-Day Hours
We are humbled and grateful to share an important update in our journey of faith and service. Since the days of Covid, our hospital has shifted to half-day operating hours. While some of our team stays beyond noon to complete needed surgeries, this decision has brought blessings to our practice, our people, and our mission. We’d like to share the heart behind this change.
Rooted in God's Design
From the very beginning, God established a rhythm of work and rest. In Geneisis, He gave us the Sabbath as a divine pattern. By embracing half-day hours, we are seeking to follow this design - allowing space for rest, renewal, and a deeper connection with Him.
Space for Spiritual Growth
True growth happens not only in the workplace, but also in time spent in prayer, worship, and reflection. Half-day hours create opportunities for our team to nurture their walk with God through devotion, study, and rest.
God’s Promise of Rest
Jesus reminds us in Matthew 11:28–29:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.”
Veterinary medicine is a calling, but it is also emotionally demanding. Compassion fatigue—caused by constant exposure to suffering and loss—has deeply affected our profession, even leading to tragic outcomes for many. By reducing our hours, we are intentionally protecting the well-being of our team and helping them seek the rest God promises.
Cherishing Family
Family is one of God’s greatest gifts. Shorter hours allow our staff to invest more deeply in their homes and relationships, creating space for lasting memories and stronger family bonds.
Serving with Grace
More time for renewal equips us to serve you with greater compassion, patience, and joy. With rested minds and restored hearts, we are better able to reflect Christ’s love in the way we care for you and your pets.
Encouraging Creativity & Calling
Moments of stillness often spark inspiration. By creating margin in our days, we open the door for the Holy Spirit to guide us with fresh ideas, creative solutions, and renewed passion for our work and our community.
Impact Beyond the Clinic
Our mission is more than veterinary care—it’s about being instruments of God’s love in the world. Extra time allows our team to be more present in service, outreach, and community impact.
Living Out Our Faith
This decision is an expression of our Christian values: prioritizing faith, family, and balance. Our prayer is that our example encourages others to do the same.
And in one of God’s gentle reminders of His power—since moving to half-day hours, we’ve actually become busier than before! More patients, greater demand, and an undeniable truth: “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)
We thank you for supporting us in this step of faith. With half-day hours, we look forward to continuing to serve you with dedication, compassion, and the peace that only He provides.
🙏 May the Lord bless you abundantly,
The County Seat Animal Hospital Team
