Our Standards

We take our hospital standards very seriously.  Until recently, we have been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).  In fact, for 15 years we were accredited.

While we are NO LONGER associated with AAHA, we strongly agree with guidelines and protocols they have in place.  We will continue to strive to meet those guidelines to the best of our ability.

Q.  Why are you no longer associated with AAHA

​

A.  This is a complicated answer but we now feel that the organization has gone away from it's initial reasons for being formed.  It is also a very expensive endeavor to maintain accreditation, which we have done for many, many years, but now we feel that we can maintain the same standards (or better) without the expense.  We feel we were being held hostage by them.  We are trying to be good stewards of the money God has entrusted us with.

 

Again, we strongly agree with what they have tried to accomplish as far as standardizing hospital protocols.  They have taught us well over the years but now the student must fly on his own.
